Hardik Pandya - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Hardik Pandya - 196 - Injury has hampered Hardik this year but every now and then you get a glimpse of him at his best. This week it was in one of his three games against the West Indies where he got 70*. It is his second Cricketer of the Week accolade this year.

2. Shakib Al Hasan - 193 - Last week he was playing for Montreal in the Global T20 Canada league, he has seemingly dumped them to go and play for Galle in the LPL. Has started very well with 53 runs and three wickets in his opening two games.

3. Moeen Ali - 173 - This was his highest score in any of the Ashes Tests. Not expecting to play Test Cricket 6 weeks ago he now has more Test Match points than Devon Conway, David Warner, Shubman Gill, Marco Jansen, Babar Azam, Shakib Al Hasan & Suryakumar Yadav.

=4. Jonny Baistow - 172 - When Bairstow plays well England win. That may very well be a coincidence but worked himself into form at the same time as England began to look ascendant.

=4. Shubman Gill - 172 - 2 months ago, Gill looked a world beater in all formats...then he has fallen away. This week he sorted out his ODI form which has seen him pop back into the Weekly Top 5 once more.

Overall Top 5

1. Shakib Al Hasan - 3532 - Lost his top place spot to Shubman Gill 11 weeks ago, he edges ahead of Simon Harmer this week to take a 79 point lead into Week 32 of the year.

2. Simon Harmer - 3453 - Only took first place last week, he picked the wrong time to take a rest. He is likely to play some part in the One Day Cup campaign soon.

3. Shubman Gill - 3265 - A decent score this week sees him arrest his slide down the table. Needs to sort his T20 form out in order to keep the wolves from the door.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 3135 - A disappointing final two ODIs from Jadeja, but he manages to hold onto fourth place for a second week.

5. Rashid Khan - 3135 - Put in his best showing in the final of the MLC, however is now out of The Hundred tournament with an 'unspecified injury'. Buttler and Curran, who will both feature in the tournament, are 47 and 130 points behind him respectively.

Other Movers

Brook and Khawaja were the ones to watch last week. They scored 3 points different to each other and both shuffled up a place into 14th and 15th. Green drops two places to make way.

Top 3 Averages

1. Shakib Al Hasan - 185.89 (Up from 185.5)
2. Simon Harmer - 172.65 (Up from 153.68)
3. Ravindra Jadeja - 165 (Down from 170.94)

Jadeja's drop of 5.94 points is the largest of the week whilst Bairstow's improvement of 8 points is the best improvement.

Simon Harmer - The Best Cricketer of the Week

A HUGELY busy week with all players except Rishabh Pant (obvs), Sam Curran and Jos Buttler playing....and A LOT Of movement too.

Weekly List

1. Simon Harmer - 533 - Completes two County Championship games which helps boost his score - but he performed very well in the pair of them. This marks the third highest weekly score ever; meaning that Harmer has 2 of the Top 3 highest scores registered.

2. Shakib Al Hasan - 332 - As predicted, Shakib is doing rather well in the Global T20 Canda league. In two thirds of the weeks we have had this year, this would have been a winning total but Shakib will have to accept second.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 287 - Triple figure scores from his Test outing and his ODI match means that Jadeja gives himself a healthy bump to his total this week. This third place finish for the week would have been enough for Jadeja to have won in 18 weeks of this year.

4. Jonny Bairstow - 219 - By some distance, Bairstow's highest score of the year so far....and what a bittersweet points total it is for the man who has had something of a turbulent Ashes series.

5. Marco Jansen - 175 - Jansen is doing what you do in a Franchise T20 tournament. Turning up, playing decently in a large number of games and boosting your total. Accordingly, finishes in the top 5 in back-to-back weeks for the first time.

Overall

1. Simon Harmer - 3453 - It has taken 30 weeks but Harmer is back in top spot. Strange what half a thousand points can do for you. That being said, his lead on second place isn't hugely comfortable as he goes into the One Day Cup.

2. Shakib Al Hasan - 3339 - Amongst all the chaos (and despite his own massive score) Shakib is the only member of the Top 5 to retain his place this week. Has a bit of a lead on second place again so should be looking up not down.

3. Shubman Gill - 3093 - His lean spell has finally caught up with him as he loses his nine week long control of top spot and plummets down to third place.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 3077 - Had drifted out of the Top 5 for a month but is back with a bang. He skips his most favoured position of 5th to return back in 4th place.

5. Jos Buttler - 2976 - Inactive again this week and is in danger of leaving the Top 5 for the first time since the third week of January.

Other Movers

Harry Brook's decent last two Ashes Tests have seen him move up a place to 15th.

Ones To Watch

Harry Brook and Usman Khawaja have 1 point between them as they approach the end of the final Ashes Test. Who will prevail? You expect there is more for Usman to lose in this one than Harry.

Top 3 Averages

1. Shakib Al Hasan - 185.5 (Up from 176.88)
2. Simon Harmer - 172.65 (Up from 153.68)
3. Ravindra Jadeja - 170.94 (Up from 164.1)

Simon Harmer's humungous score improves his average by nearly 19 points and move shim into second place overall. Pat Cummins' bad day at the office sees him drop out of the Top 3 due to losing 16.3 points from his average.

Ravindra Jadeja - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Ravindra Jadeja - 217 - Jadeja snaffled a double tonne of points without really breaking sweat in India's comprehensive First Test victory over West Indies to end his month long inactive spell.

2. Devon Conway - 154 - Conway more than made up for his 0 point game against Washington with 77 from 55 and three contributions with the gloves in the game against New York.

3. Marco Jansen - 122 - is back scoring points again after a break of 2 months....but this score represents his total from 3 games of MLC cricket so is on the more disappointing end of the spectrum.

4. Rashid Khan- 79 - I can comfortably say that few players in the history of cricket have played a match in Sylhet and a match in Dallas in the same week but that just typifies modern cricket and Rashid Khan's life. Expect more pyrotechnics in coming weeks of the MLC from Rashid

5. Shakib Al Hasan - 78 - A much more meagre return from Shakib this week but still just tips into the Top 5. Is about to join up with the Montreal Tigers in the Global T20 Canada League...you would suspect he will do some real damage there.

Weekly Update

1. Shubman Gill - 3037 - The 36 points he scored in the First Test against the West Indies were disapointing but allows him to hold onto first place. His lead is just 30 now.

2. Shakib Al Hasan - 3007 - It took Shakib just two weeks from his return to cricket to surge from 6th place back up to 2nd. With the....perhaps....slightly less rigorous standard of the Global T20 Canada competition, he may well be back up to top next week.

3. Jos Buttler - Inactive this week and down a spot to third. The Hundred is next for him.

4. Simon Harmer - 2950 - Could not polish off Kent soon enough to be included in this week's update so remains in fourth with the 71 points he got in his two outings on T20 Blast Finals Day.

5. Sam Curran - 2870 - Only 25 points in a disappointing T20 Finals Day for Surrey and their captain. Has Rashid Khan breathing down his neck.

Ones to Watch

The Top 5 is in a massive state of flux at the moment. There are only 247 points between 1st and 7th and everyone in that mix will play over the next week with the exception of Buttler and Curran.

Top 3 Averages

1. Shakib Al Hasan - 176.88 (Down from 183.06)
2. Ravindra Jadeja - 164.12 (Up from 160.81)
3. Pat Cummins - 161.43

Shubman Gill's average takes the biggest tumble - down 6.88 to 159.84 - and he moves out of the overall Top 3. Jadeja's average improves the most - up 3.31 points to 164.12 - and he replaces Gill in second place.
