Simon Harmer - The Best Cricketer of the Week

 Weekly Top 5

1.Simon Harmer - 320 - Now he's back. 100 wicket points plus 100 points with the bat plus the usual 60 Economy points. Prime Harmer-ism.

2.Mehidy Hasan Miraz - 254 - Back on the red ball grind and back scoring big. 6 wickets at a decent economy in Bangladesh's victory over Pakistan. Moves up to 15th Overall.

3. Shubman Gill - 159 - Continues his patter of one decent innings with one underhwleming one. His 84 against Rajasthan is enough for Top 3 this week. Up to 12th Overall.

4. Harry Brook -126 - Back in action after nine weeks away from the game. 66 runs and a random 30 for Economy sees him gatecrash the Top 5.

5. Liam Dawson - 119 - Dawson finishes fifth with, what appears to be, his last ever Red Ball game after his shock long form retirement this week.

Overall Top 5

1.Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 2113 - 77 points this week and the wee man increases his lead on second by 74. With 37% of the year, is it possible he could lead wire to wire?

2. Aiden Markram - 1680 - Really pushing his luck now. Got just 6 runs against Chennai but still second. Just 35 points split him and 3rd though.

3.Jos Buttler - 1626 - His 90 points were enough to see him take back the third place position he lost last week. A huge 70 points came from the field this week.

4.Saim Ayub - 1591 - His first inactive week after the PSL and he slips back down to 4th.

5.Quinton De Kock - 1470 - Still out of the Mumabi side. Still just about fifth. 21 points between himself and Simon Harmer in 6th.

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi = 176.08 (Down from 185.09)
2. Nat Sciver-Brunt = 163.6
3. Simon Harmer- 144.9 (Up from 125.44)

Mehidy Hasan Miraz - The Best Cricketer of the Week

The calm before the IPL storm has reached an almost comical level this year with only two players featuring this week.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz gets a very hollow looking first Cricketer of the Week award this week. With 131 points in two ODI games against Pakistan, MHM has the 13th lowest weekly high totals in the 8 years of our game. He does, however, move up two places over-taking Simon Harmer and Phil Salt into 15th.

Pathum Nissanka made his red ball debut for 2026 before dropping over to join up with Delhi for the IPL. He scored a decent 77 at a SR over 80 for Nondescripts against Police Sports Club. He overtakes Rachin Ravindra into 8th place.

Overall Top 5

For the third week in a row the Top 5 looks like this:

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 1302
Quinton de Kock 1248
Aiden Markram 1239
Sam Curran 1156
Harry Brook 1011

All five players were inactive this week.

Harry Brook -The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Harry Brook - 184 - Just as we have seen over the course of the World Cup, one stonking showing will put you in top spot - and Brook had that stonker against Pakistan. Is putting his dismal time towards the end of 2025 behind him.

2. Aiden Markram - 166 - Keeps getting better and better. This is his third successive score of 100+ and no player has scored within a 100 of his 514 points during the World Cup.

3.Rachin Ravindra - 162 - Can't really get his act together with the bat so went huge with the ball this wicket. Impressively he manages to get into the Top 3 this week despite playing only one game. Moves up 3 places on the Overall List

4. Liam Dawson - 157- Finally justifying his place in the England XI with 5 wickets in two games. Takes a huge leap up in the Overall table moving up 3 places to 12th.

5. Quinton De Kock - 153 - Rounds off our Top 5 with 53 runs but also 70 points from field.

Overall Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 1302 - Third week inactive and likely to be his final week in top spot. The average weekly scores stands at 112 and both second and third are within that bracket below him.

2. Quinton De Kock - 1238 - Shuttles towards first place but also has the gap to third place narrowed. All to play for as the Proteas rumble on.

3. Aiden Markram - 1207 - Rewarded for his fine T20 World Cup with a gradual slide up the Top 5. One week in 5th, two in 4th, now up to third.

4. Sam Curran - 1094 - After 213 points from last week's two games, 37 from this week seems rather underwhelming. Has been punished for it by a drop to 4th.

5. Harry Brook - 948 - Despite his big score this week he stays in 5th. Even more annoyingly, Jansen is still chasing him quite closely with the gap at 160.

Highest Weekly Average

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi = 260.4
2.Ravindra Jadeja = 181.33
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt = 177.75

Good Week for Liam Dawson; up 12.93 points to 92.33. Bad week for Saim Ayub; down 16.19 to 104.14.
