Mehidy Hasan Miraz - The Best Cricketer of the Week

The calm before the IPL storm has reached an almost comical level this year with only two players featuring this week.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz gets a very hollow looking first Cricketer of the Week award this week. With 131 points in two ODI games against Pakistan, MHM has the 13th lowest weekly high totals in the 8 years of our game. He does, however, move up two places over-taking Simon Harmer and Phil Salt into 15th.

Pathum Nissanka made his red ball debut for 2026 before dropping over to join up with Delhi for the IPL. He scored a decent 77 at a SR over 80 for Nondescripts against Police Sports Club. He overtakes Rachin Ravindra into 8th place.

Overall Top 5

For the third week in a row the Top 5 looks like this:

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 1302
Quinton de Kock 1248
Aiden Markram 1239
Sam Curran 1156
Harry Brook 1011

All five players were inactive this week.

Nat Sciver-Brunt - The Best Cricketer of the Week

A mere 627 points separated between 6 players this week....only warrants a Top Three in my eyes.

Weekly Top 3

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 344 - Is in astonishing form with the bat in the WIPL. Scored another 184 runs in three innings this week. Since the start of the competition she has scored 1063, when looking at all our Cricketers in the same time period Williamson is second with 394.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 219 - After a non-existent WIPL campaign and a damp squib of an ODI series, Athapaththu showed her T20 prowess over New Zealand.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 59 - Never really set the competition on fire...didn't even make it smoulder. However he was always there and ticking along and contributed once more in the final.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver - Brunt - 1520 - Already had a comfortable lead and then top-scored for the week. There is now almost half a thousand points between her and second place.

2. Kane Williamson - 1018 - Had such a good Champions Trophy but only got 11 points in the Final. Only holding off third place by 9 points.

3. Chamari Athapaththu - 1029 - Was in first place when her WIPL lock out occurred, last week she drifted down to 7th but is now right back in the mix thanks to her great performance in the first ODI against New Zealand.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 1007 - His score of 59 for the week edges him over the thousand point mark and into fourth place.

5. Sam Curran - 997 - Was first a month ago but has been inactive ever since. Just about holds off any challenge to his Top 5 place.

Other Movers

Only 28 points scored by Pathum Nissanka on his return to cricket but it is enough to see him overtake Rishabh Pant into 19th.

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Chamari Athapaththu - 171.5 (Up from 162)
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 168.89 (Up from 147)

NSB improves her average by 21.89 and moves into the Top Three highest average points per active week on our List. After improving his average by 22.09 the week before, Williamson loses 13.05 this week.

Wanindu Hasaranga - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Wanindu Hasaranga - 310 - An excellent display in the 2nd ODI against Australis was bolstered by a rare appearance for Colombo in the Major League Tournament.

2. Kane Williamson - 261 - What a renaissance Williamson is having with the white ball. After being one of the stand out performers in the SAT20, he then scores 191 runs in two ODI appearances for New Zealand. Should expect a strong Champions trophy from the veteran. Moves up 4 places Overall to 6th.

3. Sam Curran - 216 - Finishes the ILT20 as the MVP...and it is very hard to argue with that. With contributions with bat and ball Curran was instrumental to his Desert Vipers side getting to the final.

4. Travis Head - 179 - Broke free from some insipid performances so far in 2025. His score of 179 is more than he scored in his precious two active week combined.

5. Phil Salt - 149 - Continues his decent start to the year with his third three figure score. This week sees his fifth consecutive score across all formats above 20.

Overall Top 5

1. Sam Curran - 997 - His second week in first place. A spell of time away from cricket beckons for Curran now. How low will he drop and will he be able to get straight back into form on his return?

2. Wanindu Hasaranga - 980 - Up to his highest position in his short time on our Lists. He has placed a huge gulf between himself and 3rd place; 210 is the largest gap at any point on our List.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 770 - Has been all over our Top 5 in the last month, occupying every space apart from the coveted top spot. Will his time ever come?

4. Chamari Athapaththu - 759 - Her last inactive week until her involvement in the WIPL starts....but she often blows hot and cold in franchise cricket.

5. Nicholas Pooran - 663 - Inactive this week...and just about holds off Kane Williamson's charge. 19 points separate him and 6th.

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4 (Up from 195.25)
2. Ravindra Jadeja - 192.5 (Down from 209.67)
3. Chamari Athapaththu - 189.75

Travis Head's doubling of his score sees his average improve by 55 points to 118 whilst Nissanka's insipid week sees his down 13.67 to 66.33.
