Nicholas Pooran - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Bit of a slimmed down round of points this week but some movement nonetheless.

Weekly Top 5

1. Nicholas Pooran - 201 - Oh how the fallen are mighty. The West Indian dropped into dead last place before scoring nearly three times his average this week with 70 points for Strike Rate. Up two places to 20th.

2. Travis Head - 179 - Two huge innings for Travis Head this week with 80 points garnered from Strike Rate points. He has jumped up from 10th to 7th on the Overall List.

3. Saim Ayub - 172 - Had a stinker of a season in the PSL but manages a couple of decent showings in the final two games for a third place finish this week.

4. Pathum Nissanka - 131 - Reinstated in the Delhi side and bags 81 runs in two games to reaffirm his position in the side. Brings him to the very cusp of the Top 5 Overall.

5. Marco Jansen - 109 - Hasn't really set the world alight in the IPL this year but gets a few runs and a wicket in his two games this week to squeak into fifth.

Overall Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 2036 - Only 4 scored this week but that very comfortable cushion protects him. 362 points split him and second.

2. Aiden Markram- 1674 - For the last 5 weeks on the trot I have said that Markam has done "just enough to keep third" but......you'll never guess what.

3. Saim Ayub - 1591 - Despite that limp PSL campaign, weight of games kept Ayub in the Top 5 and then his final foray pushes him into third place - his highest berth of the year.

4. Jos Buttler - 1536 - Just the one game this week with 78 points from it. Drops down a place to 4th. Should be just a temporary dip though with so much IPL action still in store.

5. Quinton De Kock - 1470 - Inactive once more but isn't in any immediate danger with 245 points between fifth and sixth.

Ones to Watch

Just a single point splits Pathum Nissanka in sixth and Travis Head in 7th. Both scored big this week so could be a good battle.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - The Best Cricketer of the Week

After 6 weeks of fewer than a thousand points scored, we are back with another bumper crop of points this week.

Weekly Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi -278 - The young man shows no sign of slowing down. Sure he had the advantage of playing three games this week, but men twice his age would be very pleased with 148 runs in three IPL games.

2.Simon Harmer - 251 - Back to his old ways as soon as he joins back up with Essex.....and this was him in only third gear. Jumps up 5 places to end his sixth active week 58 points off the Overall Top Ten

3. Jos Buttler - 188 - Banishing his poor World Cup with a bit of good form in the IPL. 78 runs in two IPL games sees him also move up from tenth to 7th overall.

4.Aiden Markram- 137 - Not quite yet showed a huge performance in the IPL, but is quietly grinding away for Lucknow. Some decent scores at decent Strike Rates.

5.Pathum Nissanka - 135 - Had a stinker in his IPL debut with that score of 1 against Lucknow but has then followed that up with two scores in the forties to prove his place in the Delhi XI.

Overall Top 5

1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi - 1692 - Just a reminder that we are 14 weeks into 2026 and we have never had anyone other than Vaibhav as our outright leader. A startling stat for a startling player.

2. Aiden Markram - 1387 - Is making second place his stomping ground. Not really threatening first place but a decent gap from third.

3. Quinton De Kock - 1248 - Astoundingly out of the favours of Mumbai as it stands but just about holds onto third place.

4. Saim Ayub - 1201 - Just the solitary PSL game for Ayub this week but his score of 74 is enough to see him overtake the injured Sam Curran into fourth.

5. Sam Curran - 1156 - A decent week for anybody just behind him could see Curran exit the Top 5. Buttler is 171 points away, Nissanka just a smidge over that and Marco Jansen also not far behind.

Ones to Watch

Just two points separate Gujarat's Jos Buttler with Delhi's Patum Nissanka in 7th and 8th. Which explosive batter will explode up the List the highest this week?

Jadeja moves down 13.5 points to 135 and out of our Top 3 whilst Harmer improves the most; up 25.27 to 124.67

Mehidy Hasan Miraz - The Best Cricketer of the Week

The calm before the IPL storm has reached an almost comical level this year with only two players featuring this week.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz gets a very hollow looking first Cricketer of the Week award this week. With 131 points in two ODI games against Pakistan, MHM has the 13th lowest weekly high totals in the 8 years of our game. He does, however, move up two places over-taking Simon Harmer and Phil Salt into 15th.

Pathum Nissanka made his red ball debut for 2026 before dropping over to join up with Delhi for the IPL. He scored a decent 77 at a SR over 80 for Nondescripts against Police Sports Club. He overtakes Rachin Ravindra into 8th place.

Overall Top 5

For the third week in a row the Top 5 looks like this:

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 1302
Quinton de Kock 1248
Aiden Markram 1239
Sam Curran 1156
Harry Brook 1011

All five players were inactive this week.
