Nat Sciver-Brunt - The Best Cricketer of the Week....again

The calm before the storm as only 241 points were split between 5 players before the IPL starts next week. More of a round-up than a list this week.

Weekly Top 5

1. Nat Sciver- Brunt - 130 - NSB has top scored in 4 of the 11 weeks of 2025 so far. This week she enters the Top 10 for most Cricketers of the Week alongside the likes of Steve Smith and Pat Cummins who took 3 and two years respectively to reach that number.

=2. Babar Azam - Scored 22 at a sufficient enough lick to get Strike Rate point this week for Lahore Blues vs Karachi Whites in an All-Pakistan Knockabout

=2. Annabel Sutherland - 42 - Had a bit of a inverse Sciver-Brunt in the WIPL. Had a great Ashes series and a then a tepid time in India. Just the one wicket and 2 runs in her final outing before getting 0 in a T20 against New Zealand on Friday morning.

4. Chamari Athapaththu - 23 - Just 23 runs and then a washout for Athapaththu to end the series in New Zealand. Quite the downfall from 219 points last week.

5. Pathum Nissanka - 4 - Not often that 4 points gets you in the Top 5 for the week but here we are. The Sri Lankan is having a categorical stinker after such a profligate 2025.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 1650 - Swells her lead to 598 but is going to have to sit out for a little while now until the start of the English County games start up.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 1052 - Only 23 points this week but it served enough to see her move up a place to second. Hard to see where her next cricket comes from, however.

3. Kane Williamson - 1038 - Inactive this week and down to third. Would usually be gearing up for IPL action but is now having to wait until mid April to make his PSL bow for Karachi.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 1007 - Inactive this week and holds fourth. Is about to join back up with Chennai where he could be the first ever player to score 3000 runs and get 150 wickets in the IPL.

5. Sam Curran - 997 - Inactive again this week. He has made no secret of the fact that he wants to make a big impression for Chennai to force his way back into the England team....potentially as captain???

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Nicholas Pooran = 165.75
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 165 (Down from 168.89)

In a week where all 5 players' averages dropped, Athapaththu's descent by 21.21 was the most eye-watering.

Nat Sciver-Brunt - The Best Cricketer of the Week....again

Weekly Top 5

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 327 - Absolutely stormed the Weekly Top 5 this week with her nearest competitor 216 points below her. Is in such fine from for Mumbai Indians Women; she is the highest run scorer and the fifth highest wicket taker.

2. Jos Buttler - 111- A second place finish for Jos Buttler. What a week England must be having. I can't wait to check out how they've done in the Champions Trophy.

3. Liam Livingstone - 104 - 67% of his total this week came from the ball rather than the bat....never mind though....all points count and England will need performances all over the scorecard to have success in the Champions Trophy.

4. Annabel Sutherland - Not aa prolific as her 213 last week but enough to finish fourth on a low scoring week. She was not helped by only featuring in a solitary WIPL game.

5. Harry Brook - 48 - On a low scoring week, a mere 48 points are enough to see you in fifth place. A massive success for a surely resurgent Harry Brook.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver Brunt - 1061 - 2 weeks ago, NSB was 542 away from the 1000 point mark and had 10 players between her and first. After two List topping weeks she is now the first player over 100 and up to first.

2. Sam Curran - 997 - Inactive for the second week and down a place to second.

3. Wanindu Hasaranga - 980n - Inactive this week and down to his spiritual home of 3rd spot; he has spent 5 of the last 8 weeks in third.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 830 - Only 40 points for Jadeja this week and drops down a place to fourth.

5. Annabel Sutherland - 797 - Her 76 points from this week just nudges her into a Top 5 place at the expense of the perennially inactive Chamari Athapaththu.

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Chamari Athapaththu - 189.75
3. Nicholas Pooran - 165.75.

Some big old swings this week, NSB is up 29.24 to 151.57 points an active week whilst Travis Head drops by 28 points to 90.

Nat Sciver-Brunt - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Just seven active cricketers this week so only enough for a Top 3.

Weekly Top 3

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt = 277 - Was the stand out performer for insipid England and now she's playing with proper cricketers is shining once more. Only played two games this week but got half centuries in both.

2. Annabel Sutherland - 213 - 5 wickets and 73 runs from 3 WIPL games is decent fair for the Aussie all-rounder. Sees her leap up 6 places in the Overall List to 6th place.

3. Babar Azam - 123 - Criticism continues to swirl around Pakistan's ex-captain however he does enough to get him bronze medal for the week and moves up two places to 13th overall.

Overall Top 5

1. Sam Curran - 997 - Can thank an incredibly static Top 5 for his third consecutive week in top spot.

2. Wanindu Hasaranga - 980 - Parked a long way in front of the other 22 players on the List....but is just that.....parked.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 790 - Improves his overall score this week by a rather underwhelming 20 points. The gap between himself and second place is still the largest of any gap in the List; standing at 190 points.

4. Chamari Athapaththu - 759 - Surprisingly inactive from the WIPL thus far...and, perhaps as a result of this, as expressed her intention of leaving the tournament early to represent Sri Lanka in their forthcoming tour of New Zealand in just over a week's time.

5. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 734 - Tops the scores for the week and subsequently surges up from 11th to 5th. Athapaththu, herself and Annabel Sutherland form an all-female 4th, 5th, and 6th with only 38 points between them.

Other Movers

Only two players scored fewer than him this week, but Suryakumar Yadav's 53 was enough to see him move up three places to 17th.

Ones To Watch

There is currently a single point between Champions Trophy duo, Babar Azam and Adam Zampa. Will the batter or the bowler do better this week?

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Chamari Athapaththu - 189.75
3. Nicholas Pooran - 165.75.

Ravindra Jadeja's poor score sees him relinquish his top three spot to Nicholas Pooran. He now averages 158 points a week. NSB moves up the most with her average of 123.33 30.93 greater than last week.
