A HUGELY busy week with all players except Rishabh Pant (obvs), Sam Curran and Jos Buttler playing....and A LOT Of movement too.
Weekly List
1. Simon Harmer - 533 - Completes two County Championship games which helps boost his score - but he performed very well in the pair of them. This marks the third highest weekly score ever; meaning that Harmer has 2 of the Top 3 highest scores registered.
2. Shakib Al Hasan - 332 - As predicted, Shakib is doing rather well in the Global T20 Canda league. In two thirds of the weeks we have had this year, this would have been a winning total but Shakib will have to accept second.
3. Ravindra Jadeja - 287 - Triple figure scores from his Test outing and his ODI match means that Jadeja gives himself a healthy bump to his total this week. This third place finish for the week would have been enough for Jadeja to have won in 18 weeks of this year.
4. Jonny Bairstow - 219 - By some distance, Bairstow's highest score of the year so far....and what a bittersweet points total it is for the man who has had something of a turbulent Ashes series.
5. Marco Jansen - 175 - Jansen is doing what you do in a Franchise T20 tournament. Turning up, playing decently in a large number of games and boosting your total. Accordingly, finishes in the top 5 in back-to-back weeks for the first time.
Overall
1. Simon Harmer - 3453 - It has taken 30 weeks but Harmer is back in top spot. Strange what half a thousand points can do for you. That being said, his lead on second place isn't hugely comfortable as he goes into the One Day Cup.
2. Shakib Al Hasan - 3339 - Amongst all the chaos (and despite his own massive score) Shakib is the only member of the Top 5 to retain his place this week. Has a bit of a lead on second place again so should be looking up not down.
3. Shubman Gill - 3093 - His lean spell has finally caught up with him as he loses his nine week long control of top spot and plummets down to third place.
4. Ravindra Jadeja - 3077 - Had drifted out of the Top 5 for a month but is back with a bang. He skips his most favoured position of 5th to return back in 4th place.
5. Jos Buttler - 2976 - Inactive again this week and is in danger of leaving the Top 5 for the first time since the third week of January.
Other Movers
Harry Brook's decent last two Ashes Tests have seen him move up a place to 15th.
Ones To Watch
Harry Brook and Usman Khawaja have 1 point between them as they approach the end of the final Ashes Test. Who will prevail? You expect there is more for Usman to lose in this one than Harry.
Top 3 Averages
1. Shakib Al Hasan - 185.5 (Up from 176.88)
2. Simon Harmer - 172.65 (Up from 153.68)
3. Ravindra Jadeja - 170.94 (Up from 164.1)
Simon Harmer's humungous score improves his average by nearly 19 points and move shim into second place overall. Pat Cummins' bad day at the office sees him drop out of the Top 3 due to losing 16.3 points from his average.
