Jos Buttler - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Jos Buttler - 258 - Scored 202 3 weeks ago and then had a couple of quiet ones before bettering that with 258. This is his 14th Cricketer of the Week award - putting him joint 4th on the All Time List alongside Glenn Maxwell. Moves to 6th overall

2. Suryakumar Yadav - 208 - Some phenomenally big hitting for SKY this week. He got the maximum amount of Strike Rate points from his two innings this week courtesy of 38 ball 68 against Chennai and a 19 ball 40 against Hyderabad. Moves to 13th overall.

3. Yashasvi Jaiswal - 203 - His third 200+ point week this week. Last week it saw him finish first but this week he has to settle for third. He moves up to 16th overall.

4. Babar Azam - 174 - Has broken out of his malaise this week with 104 runs across three PSL innings. To put that into perspective, he was averaging 48.5 runs per week before this week. Will count himself unlucky to remain 14th on the Overall List.

5. Ravindra Jadeja - 123- Made his first stand out display for Chennai against Mumbai this week with a wicket and a half century. Seems a little too late though.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 1650 - Surprisingly did not start for Hampshire Women in their inaugural Metro Bank One Day Women's Cup match. May feature in the next round on Sunday.

2. Ravindra Jadeja - 1392 - Jadeja's first decent foray with the bat in IPL 2025 sees him regain second place. Still 258 points before he takes first place for the first time in his 4 years on our List.

3. Nicholas Pooran - 1350 - A rare back to back misfire from the Barbadian sees him lose his second place berth he only held for a solitary week.

4. Heinrich Klaasen - 1244 - A score of 71 in his solitary game versus Mumbai sees the South African make his debut in the Overall Top 5.

5. Wanindu Hasaranga - 1239 - Never does anything much but always does just enough to hold onto 5th place. This is his third successive week in 5th despite only scoring 40, 30 and now 61. This week it is Buttler who threatens him; 23 points below.

Other Movers

He fell outside the Top 5 for the week, but Liam Dawson moves back up to 12th after slipping a place last week.

Ones to Watch

The most eye-catching battle falls within our Top 5 wit Hyderabad's Heinrich Klaasen and Rajasthan's Wanindu Hasaranga separated by 5 points.

Yashasvi Jaiswal - The Best Cricketer of the Week

A great week for our players with no fewer than 10 players all getting three figure scores.

Weekly Top 5

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal - 236 - Warmed up last week with a score of 133 and then bettered that with 236 this week - doubling his total T20 points scored for the rest of the year in just 2 games. This is his second Cricketer of the Week in the two years on the List.

2. Travis Head - 184 - After some pretty mediocre performances, Head sprung into life with 66 against Punjab and 28 against Mumbai. When he plays well, Hyderabad win. He moves up 2 places to 12th overall.

3. Rishabh Pant - 144 - Hard to be overly judgmental to Pant after what he has been through but his 79 points across the first 3 weeks of the IPL would have been a disappointment to him. This week he scored just under double that. And long may it continue.

4. Nicholas Pooran - 139 - No player can hold a candle to Pooran in the IPL window. His 139 is his 3rd 3 figure score over the last 4 weeks and counts towards his 667 points accrued in that time.

5. Jamie Smith - 133 - Smith makes his bow in the Top 5 courtesy of 93 runs in the County Championship game against Hampshire. Is being rested for the ongoing game against Sussex and it is unclear how involved he will be with Surrey before the Zimbabwe Test in 4 weeks.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 1650 - 2 months in first place despite 1 month of that being inactive. Is likely to play in the Metro Bank One Day Cup Women on Thursday.

2. Nicholas Pooran - 1330 - Don't score over half a thousand points in a month and not reap the rewards on the overall Liat. Very tight below him but 320 points above him to first. Already our highest ranked ever West Indian; with Shai Hope never getting about 14th.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 1269 - Scores are decreasing rapidly. 127 a fortnight ago, 61 last week, 47 this week. He loses a place.

4. Annabel Sutherland - 1197 - Inactive again this week....and genuinely unsure as to where he next cricket comes from.

5. Wanindu Hasaranga - 1178 - Really not doing awfully well for Rajasthan but has done just enough to hold onto 5th place for a second week. He holds off Heinrich Klaasen by 55 points.

Ones to Watch

Two players in very different form in two T20 compeitions are both locked on 735 points. Suryakumar Yadav is in the ascendancy, moving up 4 places over the last month, whilst Azam can't break the Top Ten.

Other Movers

In a very busy week some modest scores have seen players move up. Phil Salt moves up three places to 7th, Heinrich Klaasen is up two to 6th and SKY moves up a single place for the third week in a row to 15th.

Top 3 Averages

1. Nicholas Pooran = 166.25 (Down from 170.14)
2. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 165
3. Chamari Athapaththu - 150.29

As usual, Jaiswal's weekly high score sees him with the largest swing - up 19.15 to 82.43. Meanwhile Hasaranga's meagre week sees him drop to 117.8 points per active week - a decrease of 9.76.
