Travis Head - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Overall Top 5

1. Travis Head - 218 - Head was the biggest beneficiary from the dead rubber ODI where South Africa handed out centuries like they were free samples. He moves up three places courtesy of this, his first Cricketer of the Week of the year.

2. Annabel Sutherland - 217 - Only Sam Curran and Harry Brook have scored more points during The Hundred than the Aussie allrounder. Over that time she has moved from 19th to 13th overall.

3. Jos Buttler - 165 - Started The Hundred in dodgy form but has worked his way back to his best. This is his third successive week in the Weekly Top 5.

4. Harry Brook - 156 - Was the standout man in that standout game against The Oval this week. He has at least one more game in The Hundred to keep up his good Summer.

5. Kane Williamson - 156 - Has maybe flown under the radar a little during his inaugural season captaining London but ends the tournament with 364 points. This was his highest scoring week courtesy of a half century against the South.

Overall Top 5

1. Sam Curran - 3887 - Outside the Top 5 for weekly scores this week but still has a triple figure points score for the week and a 694-point lead in the top spot.

2. Jos Buttler - 3193 - Another good week for Buttler allows him to keep his second place position for a second week.

3. Liam Dawson - 3097 - Had his best week of The Hundred with five wickets across 2 games for London. Holds third place for a second week.

4. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 2966 - The Hundred's second highest run scorer got another 90 this week. With no pressure below her, her lead on fifth is now 162.

5. Ravindra Jadeja - 2804 - Inactive for a third week. His lead on sixth place 279 is still second highest on any other position on The List.

Other Movers

Whilst the entire Top Ten remained static there was plenty of movement from the bottom half. Jamie Smith, Liam Livingstone and Adam Zampa all moved up a place to 11th, 18th and 22,d respectively.

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran -  169 (Down from 170)
2. Chamari Athapaththu -143.6
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt – 141.24 (Down from 141.3)

Travis Head's weekly high score sells his average by 6.97 to a (still unimpressive) 92.53. Heinrich Klaasen's poor Hundred campaign sees his average drop to 90.96.

Chamari Athapaththu - The Best Cricketer of the Week

We are right in the middle of a very low scoring period of the year. After 580 last week, 441 were scored this week; the lowest scoring fortnight of the year....some going considering that one week just 55 was scored.

Weekly Round Up

Moeen Ali is a bit of a poster boy for The Hundred but did not set the tournament alight this year. There were a few sparks of decent performances but nothing sustained. He scored 34 this week and moved up a place on the Overall List into 12th.

Sam Curran was the man of the series in The Hundred and improved his total score by 1196 points across the tournament. He scored just the 55 points in the final but lifted the trophy.

James Vince was the second biggest point scorer on our List in The Hundred with 833 points across the tournament and he finished it with two decent scores. 43 runs in the qualifier and 24 in the final. Not enough for the trophy but enough for second this week.

Chamari Athapaththu finishes first for the week again. Her 245 this week sees her top of the pops for the 6th week of 2024, two clear of anyone else. Only Harmer (on 3 occasions) and Labuschagne have finished as the weekly highest score more times in a calendar year.

Overall Top 5

1. James Vince - 3528 - A second week in top spot for Vince....however that is the end of his foray in the short form. He has not done so well in red ball cricket so might be in jeopardy unless he fixes up.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 3469 - A characteristic burst up the table sees her move towards top spot and away from third; there is an enormous 760 points between her and third at the moment.

3. Sam Curran - 2709 - Started The Hundred in 12th and finishes it in third. A decent contribution...but no regular cricket on the horizon.

4. Babar Azam - 2647 - Is ending his 9 week sabbatical next week. He was 1st last time he played cricket since then he has spent 2 weeks in 2nd, 3 weeks in 3rd and now spends a second week in 4th.

5. Travis Head - 2586 - Inactive for a third week but facing absolutely no pressure from anyone below him. The closest inactive player to him this week was 619 points away.

Top Three Averages

1. Chamari Athapaththu - 182.58 (Up from 179.11)
2. Babar Azam - 155.71
3. Marnus Labuschagne - 132.44

Athapaththu's yo-yos back up again and stretches her lead on Azam. Curran's average dips the most, down by 3.24 points to 123.14.

Sam Curran - The Best Cricketer of the Week...again

After a very busy week last week, only 580 points were shared between 6 players this week - this was the fourth lowest weekly total of the year. Accordingly we shall only have a Top 3 for the Week.

Weekly Top 3

1. Sam Curran - 140 - After bagging the third highest score in the 7 years of these Lists last week, Curran gets top spot again this week....but this time with the 10th worst high score for the week in the 7 years of these Lists.

2. Phil Salt - 133 - Another good week for Salt who has improved his total score by 385 points over the last fortnight. No player has scored a greater percentage of their total points from their Strike Rate; 27.23% of his 2350 points are from that discipline.

3. Moeen Ali - 140 - Has underperformed this year....but is never far away from a three figure score when he flicks the switch. This fairly anodyne score sees him move up three places in the Overall list, overleaping the Indian trio of Gill, Kohli and Jadeja and moving to 12th.

Overall Top 5

1. James Vince - 3421 - Just the one game this week courtesy of a washout against the Welsh Fire however still holds a comfortable lead on second place.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 3224 - Has not impressed in her spell in The Hundred with just one score over 20 and 0 wickets. Will be joining up with Sri Lanka for the ODI series against Ireland. She has the most 50 over points of anyone so could be back in the points shortly.

3. Sam Curran - 2563 - Jumped from 12th to 5th last week and this week moves up into the Top 3 for the first time since July last year.

4. Babar Azam - 2647 - Has not played a single stroke of cricket since the World Cup. The last time he turned out he was first on our List....now slips down another place to 4th.

5. Travis Head - 2586 - His first inactive week since his MLS outing and is down a place to 5th. He needn't be overly concerned as he has a cushion of 202 points from the inactive Marnus Labuschagne in 6th and 236 away from Phil Salt - his nearest active rival.

Top Three Averages

1. Chamari Athapaththu - 179.11 (Down from 188.06)
2. Babar Azam - 155.71
3. Marnus Labuschagne - 132.44

Athapaththu's average takes another hit this week; shes leaked a jot over 17 points in her time in The Hundred. Moeen Ali's good weeks sees his average up 2.04 but he still has the fourth lowest at 84.04.
