Moeen Ali - The Best Cricketer of the Week

After some very very lean weeks we have had the third highest score of the year this time out with 2041 points shared between all but 5 players.

Weekly Top 5

1. Moeen Ali - 340 - Retires from international cricket, takes a little break in Guyana and becomes one of the most miserly bowlers in world cricket. Prior to this week he had not scored an economy point in all of 2024. This week he scored 90.

2. Ravindra Jadeja - Another one straight out of the Jadeja playbook. Doesn't play for months on end and then gets just shy of 300 points in one Test. Jumps from 17th to 12th.

3. Aaron Hardie - 207 - Has not been setting even the most flammable parts of the world alight this year but has impressed in the ongoing ODI series against England. Has been in the Top 5 in two of the last three weeks.

4. Rachin Ravindra - 191 - Back in action after a long spell away and a fairly decent showing with 131 points in the loss to Sri Lanka. Could be a late player as cricket shifts into the other hemisphere.

5. Harry Brook - 164 - One very good performance in the ODIs against Australia preceded by a core of just 4. Turning into a decent late Summer for him. Despite this finds himself DOWN a spot overall.

Overall Top 5

1. James Vince - 3873 - Holds top spot for a second week as he plays out his final Hampshire game of the season. Will hope for a bigger gap to see him through to the BBL.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 3752 - Biding her time before the Women's T20 starts. Is now the second longest inactive player on the List with 4 weeks without a score.

3. Travis Head - 3251 - A 279 point swing this week - with 325 points on the board last week, he got a mere 49 before but paltry scoring from those below him means that there was zero pressure on his bronze medal position.

4. Sam Curran - 3156 - Inactive this week for the first time in 10 weeks. Holds fourth.

5. Babar Azam - 3061 - Only 5 points week ; the lowest of anyone. Yet he still holds fifth spot.

Ones to Watch

Two Aussies have a single point between them in 19th and 20th; who will prevail out of Hardie and Marsh?

Other Movers

Shubman Gill got an impressive 159 this week but that saw him finish sixth. He does move up a spot to 13th though.

Top Three Averages

1. Chamari Athapaththu - 187.65
2. Babar Azam - 139.14 (Down from 145.52)
3. Marnus Labuschagne - 132.5 (Down from 138.47)

Babar Azam's single figure week sees him tumble the most whilst Ravindra Jadeja improves by 10.24 points up to 111.68.
