Simon Harmer - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Only 7 active cricketers this week, so we'll have a streamlined Top 3.

Weekly

1. Simon Harmer - 238 - Has taken longer than usual but Harmer is back at the top of the tree for the weekly scores. Is looking in the best T20 form of his life too so could continue to do well as the T20 Blast games grind on. Up two places to make his debut in the top 10 overall

2. Sam Curran - Scored 85 points from three games last week and then got more than that in just one of his two outings this time out. Two wickets and a blisteringly quick 66 against Glamorgan sess him finish second for the week.

3. Jos Buttler = 151 = Banished his IPL blues with one Ok scored and one decent score this week to break the back of his lean spell.

Overall

1. Shubman Gill - 2960 - Inactive this week but that 300+ point gap on second will see him looking comfortable for a little while yet.

2. Rashid Khan - 2612 - Finished last week one point behind 2nd spot; scored just 12 points this week (his worst weekly score of 2023) but manages to edge into the silver medal place nonetheless.

3. Shakib Al Hasan - 2601 - Inactive for a month now but may be back for the ODIs against Afghanistan at the end of the month. Has only dropped 2 places since his injury so might just hold onto his Top 5 berth.

4. Jos Buttler - 2505 - A good week in the T20 Blast only narrowed the gap to third spot rather than shooting Jos above it. He still has 9 Blast games until England duty so will look to eat into that pretty sharpish.

5. Ravindra Jadeja - 2345 - Inactive but zero pressure from below (Curran the closest active player nearly 400 points below him). A decent WTC Final outing and he could be moving up rather than down.

Other Movers

What a week for Moeen Ali. Up into 13th place at the expense of Cameron green and a glorious return to the England setup for The Ashes. Very hard what to expect from him for the rest of this Summer.

Ones to Watch

That man Harmer could be on a bit of a darter this week. He is just 5 points off SKY in 9th and 21 from Hardik. He is likely to do the business on the pair of them in his one T20 Blast game this week against Glamorgan.

Top 3 Averages

1. Shakib Al Hasan - 185.79
2. Shubman Gill - 174.12 (Up from 168.25)
3. Ravindra Jadeja = 156.33 (Down from 165)

Simon Harmer's good week continues as he improves his weekly average by 8.46. At 136.46 he has the sixth best average of anyone. Harry Brook is a victim of England's success. He scored 19 this week and sees his average down to 86.23 - the 4th lowest.
