Matt Critchley - The Best Cricketer of the Week

NB - This week's points do include Moeen's T20 Blast frolic for Worcestershire this afternoon but do not include the evening Blast games.

Weekly Top 3 (Not enough for a 5 this week

1. Matt Critchley - 363 - Despite only 8 Cricketers featuring this week, you cannot begrudge Critchley his second Cricketer of the Week of 2022. In fact his 363 is *the highest* score of the year so far. Moves up to 15th.

2. Simon Harmer - 140 - Little and often hasn't always been Harmer's motto but it is doing him well enough this year. Nothing spectacular but a Top 3 finish when others are inactive.

3. Kyle Jamieson - 130 - A humbling result against the First Class Counties XI - but 50 points in economy rates gives him the edge as he gears up for the Tests.

Overall Top 5

1. Simon Harmer - 2446 - The Number One performer for 5 of the last 6 weeks keeps on trucking as our flag bearer. His lead at the top is now 414 points with the T20 Blast games still coming thick and fast.

2. Quinton De Kock - 2032 - Holds second place whilst on a well earned. Back in action on Thursday versus India.

3. Marnus Labuschagne - 1961 - Marnus has the most to be upset by there only being a Weekly Top 3 this week as he finished in fourth spot - however has jumped 2 places into third.

4. Mohammad Rizwan - 1897 - Just the one underwhelming T20 Blast game against Kent this week and moves down a spot.

5. Rishabh Pant - 1853 - Enjoying a well earned IPL 2022 break before joining up with India for their series versus South Africa.

Ones to Watch and Other Mover

Joe Root was the only other mover in the list despite scoring just 27 points in his final T20 Blast game vs Leicestershire. With three test matches to play he could shoot up the table as he is 12 points off 11th, 22 off 10th and 42 away from 9th.

Top 3 Averages

1. Simon Harmer = 203.83 (Down from 209.64)
2. Matt Critchley = 167.86 (Up from 135.35)
3. Babar Azam = 163

Critchley has flirted with the Top 3 averages before but his huge score this week sees his grow by 32.53 points and place him in runner up spot. Joe Root moves down 12.12 points to 136.1 thanks to a change of formats.
