Weekly Top 5
1. Marnus Labuschagne - 356 - Marnus' 7th Cricketer of the Week accolade takes him joint level with Harmer for the year. Tellingly this score isn't in his top 3 highest for the year. When he plays....he scores big.
2. Babar Azam - 248 - Undoubtedly the star man of the T20 World Cup thus far. He has scored over a hundred points more than anyone else on our List and finishes in the Top 5 yet again. His 2756 T20 points for the year is also over 500 points more than anyone else.
3. Peter Handscomb - 180 - It has been a long time coming but Handscomb is back playing & back playing well. It looked ominous when he got just 15 runs in the first dig against New South Wales, but a century in the second innings sees him in the Top 5. Up 2 places to 13th overall
4. David Warner - 125 - Woefully out of form, the Aussie is rooted to the bottom of The overall List and is still 399 points adrift but a sparkling performance against Sri Lanka proved that there is still hope.
5. Virat Kohli - 97 - The captain's performance was one of the very few highlights for an Indian support in their defeat to Pakistan. Squeaks into the Top 5 and moves up a place overall to 9th.
Overall Top 5
1. Simon Harmer - 4452 - Another inactive week for Harmer and his lead is just 2 points.... but he is back in action on the South African domestic season so this tussle could go right down to the wire.
2. Marnus Labuschagne - 4450 - Has been the top scorer on the List for two of the last three weeks since his return to Australian domestic cricket. His eyes are very much now on the prize.
3. Babar Azam - 3778 - Mr T20 has spent 28 of the last 29 weeks in 4th place and he could wait no longer. Is up a spot to 3rd.
4. Joe Root - 3614 - That cancelled tour to Pakistan and the non-inclusion in the T20 World Cup squad has hurt Root. He has lost his Top 3 spot which he has held since the 3rd week of January. Needs a big Ashes tournament.
5. Moeen Ali - 3195 - Had absolutely zero pressure on him this week thanks to Quinton De Kock's....personal feelings. Only scored 50 for the week so is not exactly comfortable.
Ones to Watch
Other than the very narrow gap at the top, the narrowest gaps are in the middle and at the bottom. Virat Kohli has a 13 point lead on Dawid Malan for 9th position whilst Kane Williamson leads Steve Smith by just 17.
