This week's updates (as well as being filmed in front of a live audience) also does not include any of today's IPL games as I started calculating before it started....not quite realising we had no fewer than 4 players in the morning game.
Weekly Update
1. Glenn Maxwell - 266 - The Big Show's 2019 winning year is the thing of legends - however he has not lived up to that bulling ever since. Last week gave us a little taster of that forgotten form. He moves up to 14th on the overall list.
2. Babar Azam - 191 - Babar dominates the National T20 Cup and is replicating his huge acquisition of points from last year. He is 355 points better off from just 4 games.
3. Virat Kohli - 156 - Looks like he is enjoying himself considerably more in the second leg of IPL 2021. He moves up 2 spots to breach the top 10.
4. Jasprit Bumrah - 145 - 5 wickets in two games would usually see you finish higher up the weekly table however Jasprit will be pleased to see himself in 13th overall; his highest position since March.
5. Kane Williamson - 112 - One does not associate Kane Williamson with T20 but the New Zealander has scored 61% of his points in this discipline this year. His 112 sees him nip into the Top 5 for the week.
Overall Top 5
The Top Three all were inactive this week.
For Harmer and Root this could be a long term thing, however Labuschagne had his return to cricket postponed due to Queensland's cancelled game against Tasmania.
Both Babar Azam and Quinton De Kock played but they remained 4th and 5th respectively.
Babar Azam's exploits in the National T20 Cup will be a concern to Joe Root.
The Summer of Joe had seen him with a 695 point gap on 4th spot - this is now halved in just two weeks.
Another couple of stellar performances from Azam and Root could be down a spot.
Ones to Watch
There is just 415 points between 8th placed Dawid Malan and 15th placed Peter Siddle.
The closest gap can be seen between 14 and 15 where Maxwell leads Siddle by just 18 points.
Another intriguing cluster is 11, 12th and 13th.
12th placed Peter Handscomb is 25 points behind Ben Stokes however 13th placed Jasprit Bumrah is 33 points behind him.
The Aussie and the Indian will both be in action over the coming weeks whilst Stokes will drop further down
