Simon Harmer - The Best Cricketer of the Week




 Weekly Top 5


1. Simon Harmer - 262 - The return of the County Championship has seen a return to the dominance of Simon Harmer. This is his second week at the top of the weekly List. He moves into 16th in the overall List.

2. Quinton De Kock - 188 - After an underbaked start to the IPL, QDK got back into the swing of it with a decent knock against Chennai and an even better one against Rajasthan. Moves up a place to 15th overall.

3. Kane Williamson - 186 - A strange week for Williamson that has culminated in him finishing as captain of Hyderabad. He has been in rich form and finishes in third for the week. Has moved into 13th overall.

4. Peter Siddle - 184 - Will oft be overlooked by his South African colleague at Essex but Siddle put in a shift against Warwickshire. Managed to pick up his first strike rate points. Was this week's most significant mover; moving up three places to 12th.

5. Moeen Ali - 153 - He only played two games in the IPL this week but his 138 in the losing effort against Mumbai is the second highest scoring individual performance in this year's competition. He also holds the top place (146 v Rajasthan)

Other Mover

Despite falling outside the Top 5 highest scorers, Steve Smith's 98 points was enough to see him move into the top ten this week.

Overall Top 5

1. Marnus Labuschagne - 1992 - Despite an underwhelming return to Glamorgan, Marnus holds top spot for the fifth consecutive week.

2. Joe Root - 1859 - Not tearing up trees in the County Championship but is putting greater and greater distance between himself and the chasing pack.

3. Babar Azam - 1582 - Babar scored a grand total of 0 points in the Test against Zimbabwe but accrued 92 in the final T20. He keeps third spot.

4. Ravichandran Ashwin - 1485 - Ashwin has stepped away from the IPL with himself in fourth position overall.

5. Glenn Maxwell - 1288 - The Big Show's IPL form has seen him gatecrash the Top 5. This is the reverse to last year where his dire performances saw him slide further and further down the table.
