Nat Sciver-Brunt - The Best Cricketer of the Week

A mere 627 points separated between 6 players this week....only warrants a Top Three in my eyes.

Weekly Top 3

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 344 - Is in astonishing form with the bat in the WIPL. Scored another 184 runs in three innings this week. Since the start of the competition she has scored 1063, when looking at all our Cricketers in the same time period Williamson is second with 394.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 219 - After a non-existent WIPL campaign and a damp squib of an ODI series, Athapaththu showed her T20 prowess over New Zealand.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 59 - Never really set the competition on fire...didn't even make it smoulder. However he was always there and ticking along and contributed once more in the final.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver - Brunt - 1520 - Already had a comfortable lead and then top-scored for the week. There is now almost half a thousand points between her and second place.

2. Kane Williamson - 1018 - Had such a good Champions Trophy but only got 11 points in the Final. Only holding off third place by 9 points.

3. Chamari Athapaththu - 1029 - Was in first place when her WIPL lock out occurred, last week she drifted down to 7th but is now right back in the mix thanks to her great performance in the first ODI against New Zealand.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 1007 - His score of 59 for the week edges him over the thousand point mark and into fourth place.

5. Sam Curran - 997 - Was first a month ago but has been inactive ever since. Just about holds off any challenge to his Top 5 place.

Other Movers

Only 28 points scored by Pathum Nissanka on his return to cricket but it is enough to see him overtake Rishabh Pant into 19th.

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Chamari Athapaththu - 171.5 (Up from 162)
3. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 168.89 (Up from 147)

NSB improves her average by 21.89 and moves into the Top Three highest average points per active week on our List. After improving his average by 22.09 the week before, Williamson loses 13.05 this week.

Kane Williamson - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Kane Williamson - 283 - Has burst into life at just the right time to help New Zealand to surge into the Champions Trophy final. Despite being in our lists for 5 (non-consecutive) years, this is only the second time he has top-scored for the week.

2. Heinrich Klaasen - 137 - Hampered by injury at the start of the tournament but left his mark on the tournament with a half century against England.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 118 - Slim pickings for Jadeja again this week, only bolstered by the fact he has played two games.

4. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 115 - Not as prodigious as the last fortnight but still her 4th successive active week of scores in the hundreds.

5. Chamari Athapaththu - 71 - Back in action after a non-starter of a WIPL; the theme continued with a wash out in the first ODI against New Zealand but two wickets see her back on the board once more.

Overall Top 5

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 1176 - A second week in top spot for NSB. Her Mumbai team are in good form and that is largely down to her.

2. Kane Williamson - 1027 - Just as last week saw Nat Sciver Brunt surge up the table, Williamson has done the same. He was in 7th last week and has now surged up to second spot. Seems unlikely that he would get the 149 he needs to take top spot in the final....but not impossible

3. Sam Curran - 997 - Curran counting down the days to the start of the IPL. Dropping a position every inactive week.

4. Wanindu Hasaranga - 980 - Inactive again and down to 4th spot, his lowest placing in a month.

5. Ravindra Jadeja - 948 - Down to fifth place despite finishing third for the week. Has a 101 point jump on Annabel Sutherland in 6th; the 4th biggest gap on the List.

Other Movers

Modest performances from our underperforming Aussies, Zampa and Head, sees them move up a place each. The spinner is up to 12th with the batter in 15th,

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Nicholas Pooran - 165.75.
3. Wanindu Hasaranga - 163.33

Kane Williamson's weekly winner sees his average up by 22.09 to 128.38. Chamari Athapaththu loses her top three berth for the first time in 2025, her average is down to 162 per active week.
