Nat Sciver-Brunt - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Just seven active cricketers this week so only enough for a Top 3.

Weekly Top 3

1. Nat Sciver-Brunt = 277 - Was the stand out performer for insipid England and now she's playing with proper cricketers is shining once more. Only played two games this week but got half centuries in both.

2. Annabel Sutherland - 213 - 5 wickets and 73 runs from 3 WIPL games is decent fair for the Aussie all-rounder. Sees her leap up 6 places in the Overall List to 6th place.

3. Babar Azam - 123 - Criticism continues to swirl around Pakistan's ex-captain however he does enough to get him bronze medal for the week and moves up two places to 13th overall.

Overall Top 5

1. Sam Curran - 997 - Can thank an incredibly static Top 5 for his third consecutive week in top spot.

2. Wanindu Hasaranga - 980 - Parked a long way in front of the other 22 players on the List....but is just that.....parked.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 790 - Improves his overall score this week by a rather underwhelming 20 points. The gap between himself and second place is still the largest of any gap in the List; standing at 190 points.

4. Chamari Athapaththu - 759 - Surprisingly inactive from the WIPL thus far...and, perhaps as a result of this, as expressed her intention of leaving the tournament early to represent Sri Lanka in their forthcoming tour of New Zealand in just over a week's time.

5. Nat Sciver-Brunt - 734 - Tops the scores for the week and subsequently surges up from 11th to 5th. Athapaththu, herself and Annabel Sutherland form an all-female 4th, 5th, and 6th with only 38 points between them.

Other Movers

Only two players scored fewer than him this week, but Suryakumar Yadav's 53 was enough to see him move up three places to 17th.

Ones To Watch

There is currently a single point between Champions Trophy duo, Babar Azam and Adam Zampa. Will the batter or the bowler do better this week?

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4
2. Chamari Athapaththu - 189.75
3. Nicholas Pooran - 165.75.

Ravindra Jadeja's poor score sees him relinquish his top three spot to Nicholas Pooran. He now averages 158 points a week. NSB moves up the most with her average of 123.33 30.93 greater than last week.

Wanindu Hasaranga - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5

1. Wanindu Hasaranga - 310 - An excellent display in the 2nd ODI against Australis was bolstered by a rare appearance for Colombo in the Major League Tournament.

2. Kane Williamson - 261 - What a renaissance Williamson is having with the white ball. After being one of the stand out performers in the SAT20, he then scores 191 runs in two ODI appearances for New Zealand. Should expect a strong Champions trophy from the veteran. Moves up 4 places Overall to 6th.

3. Sam Curran - 216 - Finishes the ILT20 as the MVP...and it is very hard to argue with that. With contributions with bat and ball Curran was instrumental to his Desert Vipers side getting to the final.

4. Travis Head - 179 - Broke free from some insipid performances so far in 2025. His score of 179 is more than he scored in his precious two active week combined.

5. Phil Salt - 149 - Continues his decent start to the year with his third three figure score. This week sees his fifth consecutive score across all formats above 20.

Overall Top 5

1. Sam Curran - 997 - His second week in first place. A spell of time away from cricket beckons for Curran now. How low will he drop and will he be able to get straight back into form on his return?

2. Wanindu Hasaranga - 980 - Up to his highest position in his short time on our Lists. He has placed a huge gulf between himself and 3rd place; 210 is the largest gap at any point on our List.

3. Ravindra Jadeja - 770 - Has been all over our Top 5 in the last month, occupying every space apart from the coveted top spot. Will his time ever come?

4. Chamari Athapaththu - 759 - Her last inactive week until her involvement in the WIPL starts....but she often blows hot and cold in franchise cricket.

5. Nicholas Pooran - 663 - Inactive this week...and just about holds off Kane Williamson's charge. 19 points separate him and 6th.

Top 3 Averages

1. Sam Curran = 199.4 (Up from 195.25)
2. Ravindra Jadeja - 192.5 (Down from 209.67)
3. Chamari Athapaththu - 189.75

Travis Head's doubling of his score sees his average improve by 55 points to 118 whilst Nissanka's insipid week sees his down 13.67 to 66.33.

Phil Salt - The Best Cricketer of the Week

One fewer Cricketer played this week compared to last but our contributors still scored over 300 points more.

Weekly Top 5

1. Phil Salt - 291 - Surprisingly a very high  score for Salt this week. His team are in quite a bad way and he hasn't had one particularly huge score.....but he's plugged away in two T20s and one ODI to claim his third Cricketer of the Week since he joined in 2024.

2. Annabel Sutherland - 273 - A huge score for the burgeoning Australian that sees her leap up the overall List too. She was 13th last year and now is on the cusp of the Top 5 this week.

3. Nicholas Pooran - 218 - Did what he does best this week. Big hitting performances in a relatively obscure T20 competition. Scores of 58 and 42 were slightly let down by only 8 in his match against Sharjah Warriors. Still enough for his 200+ score this week of the year.

4. Ravindra Jadeja - 141 - A rather poor showing in his final Ranji Trophy game was followed up with a threefer in the first ODI against England. Plenty more to come.

5. Travis Head - One of our least active players of 2025 so far but will always do a job in Test cricket. Was only called upon to bat once in the first match against Sri Lanka but bagged himself 57 runs at a decent lick. He's moved up from 22nd to 17th.

Overall Top 5

1. Sam Curran - 781 - Not one of his epic weeks but still bagged himself 100+ points and moves up into top spot. Only 152 points separate 1st from 5th though so could be a real juggle over coming weeks.

2. Chamari Athapaththu - 759 - Inactive this week and down to second...will be gagging for the start of the WIPL to be back in the thick of it again.

3. Nicholas Pooran - 663 - Surged back into the Top 5 after a week away courtesy of his good week in the ILT20 performances....only the final left for him now though.

4. Wanindu Hasaranga - 660 - Only one match for the long term third place Sri Lankan this week ...but has the final over the weekend and with just 3 points separating him from his most favoured position you wouldn't be surprised to see him nick it.

5. Ravindra Jadeja - 629 - Loves a fifth place finish ....and despite finishing in the Top 5 for the week he still sinks down to a place. The gap between him and 6th is 121, the second biggest of any gap on the List.

Ones To Watch

Fellow strugglers Harry Brook and Pathum Nissanka have just a point between and the majority of the List above them. How far can they get in the next week?

Top 3 Averages

1. Ravindra Jadeja - 209.67 (Down from 244)
2. Sam Curran - 195.25 (Down from 226.33)
3. Chamari Athapaththu - 189.75

Phil Salt's big week sess him improve by 54.92 points whilst Sam Curran's underpar week sees him down the most....but still hold 2nd place overall.
