Mohammad Rizwan - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 3

1. Mohammad Rizwan - 204 - Has been in such strong form during PSL 2020 and has the final still to play. He is the last man standing of our three PSL players and has scored 359 points more than anyone else.

2. Quinton De Kock - 187 - A return to a lower ranked T20 competition will always pad out your scores and QDK has done that with his run to the CSA T20 Challenge final. This is his third successive top 5 finish.

3. Kyle Jamieson - 125 - Two wickets is not a prolific haul for the New Zealander from the first #NZvSA Test - however it is enough to sneak him into the Top 3 in this meagre week.

Overall Top 5

1. Mohammad Rizwan - 962 - Rizwan becomes the sixth person to take first place on our overall list. The last two people (Pant and Moeen) only managed it for a single week; can he double up?

2. Moeen Ali - 944 - Inactive this week and down a place to second.

3. Quinton De Kock - 891 - Three successive weeks of three figure scores has finally seen De Kock up from 5th place to third as the CSA T20 Challenge comes to a close.

4. Glenn Maxwell - 821 - Played in two formats for the first time since 2020 this week, however it was not enough to see him drop down a place to fourth.

5. Risabh Pant - 730 - Was inactive for only the second time this year but has tumbled to his lowest ever position.

Other Mover

Despite the second lowest score of the week, Hasan Ali made the biggest move up the table. His 86 points was enough to overtake our trio of England players and Moeen Ali and move him into 13th.

Ones to Watch

The forthcoming Pak v Aus series has some tantalising battles. Babar Azam is 127 points off the top 5 with Kyle Jamieson, in action against South Africa, 19 points below him. Pat Cummins is 19 points off Simon Harmer in 8th whilst there is yet another 19 point gap between Steve Smith and Hasan Ali. Finally Labuschagne is 11 points off the Top 10.

Top 3 Averages

1. Simon Harmer = 263
2. Mohammad Rizwan= 192.4 (Up from 189.5)
3. Moeen Ali = 188.8

Hasan Ali's poor PSL followed by an all rightish performance versus Peshawar Zalmi sees his average improve by 8.58 - but, at 60.25 he has the second worst average on the list. His fellow countryman Babar Azam showed the biggest decrease in his average. Down 16.15 to 120.6 points a week.

Moeen Ali - The Best Cricketer of the Week

A huge amount of cricket has been played last week - with 5 players in action on Friday alone....but who prevailed in the battle for number one spot this week?

Weekly Top 5

1. Moeen Ali - 328 - He played 4 games of BPL 2022 cricket this week which will always help boost the score - but he went big in two of them to give him his second highest score of all time and the highest score of 2022 thus far.

2. Mohammad Rizwan - 249 - Is in phenomenal form in PSL 2022 and is averaging 84.22 points a match. Seems an unstoppable force at the moment. Will be a frightening prospect in the T20 World Cup.

3. Babar Azam - 213 - Played double the amount of cricket this week than the other two PSL 2022 players on our List and finishes in a decent third place finish. Could have done better you feel. a

4. Quinton De Kock - 183 - Another Top 5 finish thanks to weight of games more than any huge performances. It does mark his third Top 5 finish for the year so far. Mr Consistent.

5. Glenn Maxwell - 182 - In a year of ups and downs for Maxwell, his 182 is something of a middling yield. He rounds off the top 5 for the week with a comfortable gap between himself and Rishabh Pant in 6th who got under half the points Maxwell did.

Yearly Top 5

1. Moeen Ali - 944 - If you are in second place and score 300+ points it is very likely you will take top spot - and such was the case for Moeen. He is the fourth person to take the Number One baton in 2022.

2. Mohammad Rizwan - 758 - Up 4 places and making his debut in the Top 5. And you cannot begrudge him of it with the way he is playing.

=3. Rishabh Pant - 730 - Down two places after his week at the Top Spot. He was below par this week despite his match winning knock against West Indies on Friday.

=3. Glenn Maxwell - 730 - Retains third place this week (but has to share it with Rishabh Pant) thanks to his last two performances in Aus v SL. Has only spent 1 week outside the Top 5 in 2022.

5. Quinton De Kock - 704 - A third consecutive week in 5th spot despite all the mayhem around him. Something of a gap opening up between the Top 5 and the chasing pack too. There is 157 points between him and Babar Azam in 6th.

Other Movers

The gap between 10th and 17th is very tightly packed with nobody more than 34 points away from their nearest rival. This means that a fairly inconsequential score can see big movement. This was the case with Travis Head; up 3 to 13th despite just 56 points.

Top 3 Averages

1. Simon Harmer = 263
2. Mohammad Rizwan= 189.5 (Up from 169.67)
3. Moeen Ali = 188.8 (Up from 154)

Moeen's jolly good week sees his, already very good, aveage swell by 34.8 points leaving him with the third highest average this year. Pat Cummins' average takes another hit. After going down by 65.83 last week, it has shrunk a further 26.92 this week.

Moeen Ali - The Best Cricketer of the Week

It has been a very busy week at the business end of our table. 11 of our top 12 were active this week and none of the bottom 6 featured at all.

Who were the big movers of the week?

Weekly

1. Moeen Ali - 287 - After a quiet start to BPL 2022, kicked it up a gear with 46 runs against Sylhet and 75 runs and two wickets on Friday versus Khulna. This is his second highest weekly total in his 13 months on the lists.

2. Mohammad Rizwan - 266 - His performances have been tailing away slightly as the week has gone on but his huge score against Peshawar made up 65% of his weekly total.

3. Rishabh Pant - 225 - Pant is a sporadic performer but when he goes big he strikes gold. His third ODI against the West Indies gives him enough for third place.

4. Kyle Jamieson - 158 - Back in action for Auckland before joining back up with the national team, Jamieson kept his eye in with his third successive three figure score.

5. Quinton De Kock - 152 - Not available for South Africa, QDK is turning out for the Titans in his favourite format of T20. He disappointed against the Warriors but went big vs Boland to see him finish fifth for the week.

Overall

1. Rishabh Pant - 640 - Pant spent all of January in second or third place, dropped down to fourth for the first week in February but has now jumped up 3 places to top spot as the most impressive Cricketer of the Year so far.

2. Moeen Ali - 616 - His rich vein of T20 form in BPL 2022 has seen Moeen move up into second position. This is his highest ever berth on our List.

3. Glenn Maxwell - 548 - The Big Show was inactive for three weeks and held on to his top spot. On his return to cricket, he scores 7 points versus Sri Lanka and moves down to third. Should have stayed at home!

4. Simon Harmer - 526 - Inactive for the week and down two places to 4th.

5. Quinton De Kock - 521 - Uncharacteristically, QDK is the eye of the storm this week. Whilst every other member of the Top Ten moved position, he remained static in 5th spot.

Ones to Watch

Two of our powerhouse bowlers are both in action this week in different formats and with a lot to play for. Cummins sits just 2 points above Jamieson with a series of T20s to play versus Sri Lanka. Will Jamieson's Test form give him the edge and return him into the top 5?

Top Three Averages

1. Simon Harmer - 263
2. Quinton De Kock - 173.67 (Down from 184.5)
3. Mohammad Rizwan - 169.67 (Up from 121.5)

Some huge swings this week. Mohammad Rizwan takes a huge jump of 48.17 whilst Pat Cummins goes from the dizzying highs of Test cricket to the low yields of T20s and sheds 65.83 points from his average. He now sits on 153.67.

Phil Salt - The Best Cricketer of the Week

Weekly Top 5 1. Phil Salt - 197 - If Salt played in the Carribean every week he might put on Lara like figures. He finishes in first place...
